Your event plans are personal. Our approach is to keep data use proportionate.
Plannr uses personal data to power accounts, invitations, RSVP management, purchases, and support. We aim to collect what is reasonably needed to operate the product and improve the service.
Who operates Plannr
Plannr is operated by M. SAPIDOU KAI SIA E.E., Sarantaporou 17, 54640 Thessaloniki, Greece. VAT/AFM: 802021877.
Data types used in Plannr
Depending on the features you use, Plannr may collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts selected by you, user ID, purchase history, product interaction data, device or browser information, support messages, and user-submitted content such as event details, guest lists, invitation content, RSVP choices, and check-in activity.
We may collect a host phone number as part of account setup, support, fraud prevention, identity or account verification, and operational contact where needed. A host phone number is not collected for sending guest invitations unless the host separately uses a feature that requires it.
Functionality comes first
We use personal data to create and maintain accounts, verify email addresses, power invitations and guest flows, generate digital passes, manage purchases and invite tokens, provide customer support, secure the service, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and understand product usage so we can improve reliability and experience.
Why processing is allowed
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases may include performance of a contract or requested service, legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, product reliability, and customer support, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we ask for it, such as non-essential analytics cookies or other optional choices.
Event contact details
Hosts may provide guest contact details so Plannr can send invitations, manage RSVPs, create digital passes, and share related event updates. Invitees may provide an email address when they open or respond to an invitation so we can confirm their RSVP, send passes, and support the event flow.
We process guest and invitee data to provide the event service requested by the host and invitee. Hosts are responsible for ensuring they have permission or another lawful basis to provide guest contact details to Plannr.
Text message data
When a host sends SMS invitations through Plannr, we process the guest phone number, invitation link, event details needed for the message, delivery metadata, and opt-out status. We use this data to deliver the invitation, prevent duplicate sends, handle failures, and respect opt-out choices. Message and data rates may apply depending on the guest's mobile plan. For alphanumeric sender IDs such as PLANNR, guests can use the web opt-out action or contact support because direct SMS replies are not available. Where Plannr uses a reply-capable sender, STOP or START replies may also be used.
If a guest accepts an invitation and provides an email address, we use that email to send the digital pass and related event information. Guest email is not required for the initial SMS invitation.
Website measurement choices
The Plannr website may use essential technologies needed to operate pages and security features. We use analytics on the website only after you accept analytics cookies. You can decline analytics cookies or reopen cookie preferences from the footer links.
The Plannr app may collect product interaction data and diagnostics through app infrastructure and analytics tools so we can understand reliability, usage, and performance. We do not use this data to sell personal information.
Manual support and account operations
Authorised Plannr administrators may access limited account, purchase, invite-token, and usage information when needed for support, fraud prevention, operational troubleshooting, privacy requests, or manual token grants. Admin access is restricted and sensitive admin actions may be logged.
How the App Store classifies this data
The data types listed above may be linked to the user's identity and may be used for app functionality, analytics, support, fraud prevention, and security. App Store privacy labels should reflect the data collected by Plannr and by third-party SDKs or providers integrated into the app.
How long data may stay with us
We keep personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts, deliver invitations and passes, support purchases, meet legal or tax obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Some operational logs, purchase records, suppression records, admin audit logs, backups, or security records may remain for a limited period after account deletion where retention is legally or operationally necessary.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards, including Firebase security rules, App Check, authentication, admin access controls, and provider-side security features. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction, and deletion
Account holders can request deletion in the app where available, or contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data. Invitees and guests who do not have a Plannr account may contact us with enough invitation context for us to locate the relevant data. Requests are subject to legal, security, operational, or record-keeping obligations that allow or require retention.
Third-party infrastructure
Plannr may use third-party providers such as Firebase/Google Cloud for hosting, authentication, databases, storage, analytics, App Check, and Cloud Functions; Apple for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and platform services; Twilio for SMS delivery and opt-out handling; and email or pass-generation providers for transactional messages and digital passes. These providers may process personal data on our behalf to perform those functions.
Where processing may occur
Depending on the providers we use, personal data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps intended to ensure an appropriate level of protection for transferred personal data.
Age considerations
Plannr is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children where doing so would require parental consent under applicable law. If you believe data has been provided inappropriately, contact us and we will review the request.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the product, law, or our practices. If we make material changes, we may revise the date on this page and provide additional notice where appropriate.
